Microsoft Office Installation Assistance

What is it?

Microsoft Office 365 is a subscription plan for Office products. It enables users or businesses to extend their Office productivity software (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and others) to allow installations to up to 5 different devices per user. The account is tied to the user, not to any one device, so it allows seamless interaction between working on home devices and on mobile devices. It also allows users to deactivate their software in case one of their devices is compromised or if a person leaves the business.

Who is eligible?

LSU currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff are given access to an LSUMail account using the MyLSU ID that LSU provides (@lsu.edu) for the duration of their LSU academic career.

Due to Microsoft's Campus License Agreement (CLA), once a student is no longer enrolled at LSU, the Office365 Pro Plus and related applications may no longer be available.

Faculty and staff who have separated or retired are not eligible to retain their free subscription license to Office365 ProPlus and associated applications.
