Slate User Permissions for Graduate Admissions

The Slate Data and User Permissions request form is required to access prospective, applicants, and/or admitted student data. Click the question mark icon for help. Data will only be released in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and applicable LSU policies, and not all requests will meet these criteria. A follow-up communication will be sent to all parties listed on the form. Please be advised that your data request may be governed by the following data and compliance guideline:

  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) - governs and protects students’ rights to their individual educational records.
  • Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) - compliance which protects the privacy and security of personally identifiable financial information relating to individuals.
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was drafted and passed by the European Union (EU), it imposes obligations onto organizations anywhere, so long as they target or collect data related to people in the EU.

The Graduate School is following the guidelines set by the IT Security and Policy Office (ITSP) who protects University systems, services, and data against unauthorized use, disclosure, modification, damage, or loss.
