Students are permitted to enroll at another SEVP certified school if the credits transfer to LSU and contribute to the student’s program of study. Enrolling at LSU and another school is called Concurrent Enrollment. Between LSU and the school the student is concurrently enrolling in, students must be enrolled full time (12 credits for undergraduate students). Students participating in Concurrent Enrollment must enroll for a minimum of 51% of their full-time credits at LSU. For undergraduate students, this is a minimum of 7 credits in the fall or spring semester and 4 credits in the summer semester, if summer is a student's first or last semester.
Concurrent Enrollment Process
- The LSU student will need to communicate with their academic advisor and complete any process(es) to ensure the credits taken at the school other school will transfer to LSU.
- The LSU student enrolls for a minimum of 51% of full-time enrollment at LSU. For undergraduate students, this is a minimum of 7 credits.
- The LSU student submits class schedule of school where they will be concurrently enrolling to their ISS advisor. The ISS advisor will verify the LSU student will be enrolled full-time (12 credits for undergraduates) between LSU and the school they are concurrently enrolling in.
- At the end of the semester, the LSU student will submit transcripts or grades from the concurrent enrollment to verify they completed the courses to their ISS advisor.
- LSU Students will not be eligible to participate in concurrent enrollment in the future, if they do not fulfill all the above requirements.
If a student does not submit transcripts or grades from the school they are concurrently enrolling at, they will be considered enrolled less than full time in that semester.
