25 August 2025 - ISS introduces iTiger Portal

Welcome back, international Tigers, to campus for the start of a new semester!

Over the summer, International Student Services transitioned to a new software system called Sunapsis. We are excited about using Sunapsis to better serve F-1/J-1 students through a more robust and comprehensive system. The student portal is called iTiger – for “international Tiger” – and you can learn more about it by clicking here.

What is changing?
For international student requests, the look and feel of iTiger will be different from the current request submission method. Students will login to iTiger via multi-factor authentication (using myLSU ID and password) for a more user-friendly experience of submitting requests to ISS. The URLs for all immigration requests and some immigration resources will change. ISS has created this F-1 and J-1 Requests chart so students can know where to locate each request type. Academic departments will be asked to electronically review and approve certain international student requests before the request can be submitted to ISS for processing.

What is staying the same?
International students will still have a method by which to submit immigration requests to ISS electronically. The required information and documentation that ISS will need to receive for most requests will remain the same.

How will this impact ISS document processing services?
As with any software migration, turn-around times will be temporarily impacted. For Fall 2025, students should anticipate processing times of 10-15 business days. Please plan accordingly and submit requests well in advance. Additionally, walk-in appointments will be temporarily suspended while staff are trained in new Sunapsis processes. Walk-in hours will resume Monday, September 29, and will be offered only twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays 1-3 pm, for the Fall 2025 semester.

How will the iTiger Portal be accessed?

International students will be able to access the iTiger Portal through a web browser and their myLSU ID and Password. No additional login will need to be created.

What must students and alumni do now?

F-1 and J-1 students are required by U.S. Immigration regulations to provide certain documents/information to ISS for our record-keeping purposes. To ensure that ISS has this information, each currently enrolled F-1/J-1 student at LSU (or those alumni who have OPT/STEM authorization) is required to complete the following steps, if they have not already done so:

  1. Login to https://itiger.lsu.edu/.
  2. Navigate to and click on the “Biographical Information” category on the left side of the home page.
  3. Complete and submit the Upload Immigration Documents Form to provide copies of your current immigration documents to ISS.
  4. Complete and submit the Address Reporting Form to report your address to ISS and your SEVIS record. U.S Immigration regulations require that students report the current address where they live within 10 calendar days of any move. This form will verify that we have your correct address in your SEVIS record.

The deadline to submit both forms is Friday, September 19, 2025.

If you have any questions or concerns about submitting these forms in iTiger, please respond to this email with complete context and details of the issue you are experiencing. If the issues are technical, please include screenshots.

We wish you a wonderful semester!

Sincerely,

ISS Team
