International Student Services (ISS) will email admitted students after they have been officially and unconditionally admitted to an LSU on-campus degree program and they accept their admission. The email will include instructions and a link to access our Intake I-20/DS-2019 Request e-form, which prompts the admits to provide the required items for ISS review to determine their eligibility for an LSU I-20 or DS-2019.
ISS establishes deadlines for admit to submit their e-forms to give our office the necessary time to review and process the I-20/DS-2019. The deadlines below are for those individuals who need either:
- An Initial I-20/DS-2019 for the student visa appointment at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate abroad and entry to the U.S.
- A Transfer I-20 to maintain their current F-1 student status in the U.S.
International Student Services will not be able to issue I-20s/DS-2019s for international applicants who have not submitted their complete requests by the following deadlines:

Note: Some admitted students may be in the United States in another visa type that does not allow for full-time study and/or on-campus employment (for example, F-2 or H-4 dependents). Individuals in other visa types may need to travel outside of the United States to change their visa status and would be subject to the Initial I-20/DS-2019 deadlines above.
