What is it?
Snapshots are a point in time state of a virtual server. A snapshot enables the virtual machine's state to be restored later to the time of snapshot creation, undoing any changes that occurred afterwards. Snapshots are not backup services, and should be requested prior to performing any risky operations. The maximum snapshot duration is 72 hours. After 72 hours, snapshots will be removed.
Who is eligible?
Faculty / Staff / Departments.
Requests for existing services must come from the service owner or from the head of the owner's department.
How do I get it?
New Virtual Server Services MUST be requested via work order.
